CAKE, DUMP TRUCK STYLE!

This year my munchkin requested a Dump Truck cake, so me being the I have to out do last years cake type of person, came up with several different ideas for the design of the cake. I get quite neurotic when it comes to cake designs. I will decide on a design then start buying the materials needed, then change my mind and start buying materials for the next design, then change my mind back to the original only to settle on the third design. Yes, I do drive my wonderful friends and family batty during cake season. They still think it is "cute" not slightly disturbed, maybe because it only happens once a year. Well enough of the jabbering on about cake design and my neurosis.

Sliding into 3rd!

Today is my son's 3rd Birthday. I love him dearly and he is incredibly cute (no bias here, really), but what is up with 3? Forget the terrible twos. He was an angel at 2 compared to 3.

I have officially nicknamed my son Mr. Contrary. Heaven forbid I suggest something because I am always wrong, even if he just said the exact same thing. I swear he catapulted strait to teenager, and he is really cheesed off that he is still in his 3 year old body.

So we are not just sliding into 3 we are being dragged kicking and screaming!

I commend all you Moms and Dads who managed to survive the 3rd year with your sanity in tact.

Cake Season 2008!

It's Summer which means cake making time! I started the summer off with Graduation cupcakes.
